Kunsthaus Zürich presents Adrian Zingg. Precursor of Romanticism
From 25 May to 12 August 2012 the Kunsthaus Zürich presents Switzerlands first museum exhibition devoted to the work of Adrian Zingg (1734-1816). Zingg is one of the most important representatives of landscape between the European Enlightenment and Pre-Romanticism in Dresden. He explored the countryside around Dresden and produced numerous views of what has since become known as the Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland. His large-format sepia plates influenced an entire generation of artists, right through to Caspar David Friedrich, while his choice of motifs and interpretation of landscape left its mark on souvenir production in the early days of tourism.

With 19 out of the 20 selected exhibitors not having shown inArt Feature last year, the sector's dynamic selection ensures a fresh mix ofgalleries and thus continues as a space for the discovery of new talent. Kunsthaus Zürich joins forces with Fondation Hubert Looser
An outstanding private collection of modern and contemporary art is coming to the Kunsthaus Zürich, thanks to a new agreement with the Fondation Hubert Looser. Focusing on Abstract Expressionism, Minimal Art and Arte Povera, the Looser Collection will be exhibited in the Kunsthaus extension on long-term loan from 2017, and will ideally complement the museums own holdings.
