EMERALD have started the studio recordings for their 6th Album on March 26, 2012 at the Little Creek Studio in Switzerland (Producer is again V.O. Pulver; ex-Poltergeist, Gurd). The recordings are going very well so far. The new album will include 9 tracks of Pure Heavy Metal. Release is planned for September 2012 through Pure Steel Records.

The year 2009 is almost over. EMERALD have changed the line-up this year (new singer and new guitar player). With new motivation and inspiration, the band played some very successful concerts and received many fantastic reactions and great support. EMERALD would like to thank all fans for the high appreciated support during the year. The songwriting for the next album is finished, the band is preparing for the recordings at the moment. We are shocked that former CRIMSON GLORY singer MIDNIGHT has died last week at the age of 47. He was one of the best metal vocalists ever and the first two CRIMSON GLORY records are real metal classics and an influence to EMERALD's sound. We made our tribute to CRIMSON GLORY by covering the song "Azrael" on our latest album "Hymns to Steel". We would like to dedicate our song to Midnight - ; You and your music will always stay in our hearts.

During the last months, EMERALD recorded a new demo for their record company PURE STEEL RECORDS. During the recordings, musical differences with the singer/guitarist Jvo Julmy appeared. After many conversations, both parties have decided to go separate ways from now on. Emerald would like to thank Jvo for everything he did for the band during all the past years. We had a great time together and to say it in an old song title "We will remember" ! The band wishes Jvo all the very best for the future !
Now we are very happy to present you the new EMERALD members:
On second rhythm and lead guitar, Manuel Werro joined the band. He is from Düdingen (FR, Switzerland) and a longtime friend of the band. He played before in the bands Shroudshifter and Fatherfuckers (coverband, see http://www.myspace.com/thefatherfuckers ).
On vocals, Thomas Winkler joined the band. He is from Zollikofen (BE, Switzerland) and involved already in the bands/projects Nieverlore and T-Rage (see http://www.nieverlore.ch/ )
We are very happy that we found so quickly new motivated members for the band. A heavy welcome dudes !!!

OMEN CONCERT CANCELLED !!!
The concert with OMEN at the Rock City in Uster on October 2, 2008 has been cancelled ! We are very sad to announce that OMEN will not come to Switzerland next week. Due to the hurricane that hit Texas 2 weeks ago, the band lost a lot of money that was supposed to cover the expenses for this European tour/concerts. So unfortunatly, the concert in Switzerland is cancelled. Please take note. Thank you for comprehension.

EMERALD recorded the song "Burning The Witches" for an upcoming WARLOCK Tribute album !! The recordings were done at the Farpoint Studio in Switzerland together with our longtime engineer and friend Alain Stucki. WARLOCK was a big influence and fave band back in the 80ies for several EMERALD members. It's a big honour for EMERALD to take part at this Tribute album ! "TRUE AS METAL - A TRIBUTE TO WARLOCK" will be released later this year and will include also great bands like CRYSTAL VIPER, VOLNAYA STAYA and CUSTARD. So watch out for this great tribute album dedicated to one of the best german metal bands and of course to the metal queen Doro!

We have sad news and good news. Emerald member Andreas Bächler (drums) has decided to leave the band ! He would like to set new priorities in his life and turn to other interests. There are no hard feelings between Andreas and the rest of the band, there is still a deep friendship. He recorded the drums for the new album "Hymns to Steel" (release is planned for September) and will play a last concert with Emerald in autumn after the release of the new album (at the release party). Emerald would like to thank Andy for his fantastic drumming, for his tireless efforts for Emerald and for the precious friendship. We will miss you brother !
The good news is that we can already announce the replacement for Andreas (we know about his decision already since January). The new man on drums is a very known one from the Emerald crew: Alex Spicher ! He drew already the artwork to the debut album "Rebels of our Time" and designed the Emerald Logo, a long-standing friend of the band. He takes immediately the place behind the drums. Welcome on board Al !!

Due to a bad infection, Emerald singer Jvo could not record his vocals during the recording sessions in Aue (Germany). Besides the vocals, Emerald finished the recordings for the new album "Hymns To Steel". The vocals will be recorded within the next weeks at Farpoint Studio, Switzerland. The release of the new album has been postponed to August/September 2007.
Some good news: a new concert has been confirmed. Emerald will support Sabaton and Thunderbolt on their European Tour for the concert in Switzerland at the Rock City, Uster. Be there on May 29, 2007 ! Details are under www.rock-city.ch and www.sabaton.net

A replacement for the vacant Bass-Position has been found: Adriano Troiano is back ! As replacement for Stephan Kaufmann, EMERALD and former bass player Adriano Troiano reunited. Adriano was already in the band during the first EMERALD years and left before the release of the "Calling The Knights" album. After releasing two albums with his own band DISTANT PAST, he is now back in the band. Welcome back dude !!
The concert on May 5, 2006 in St. Silvester was a very huge success for EMERALD. Biggest thanks to all the fans that supported EMERALD so strong on this glory evening.

Due to personal differences Emerald and bass player Stephan Kaufmann decided to part ways. A replacement will be announced as soon as possible. We wish him all the best for his future and thank him for his efforts for Emerald.

The concert will take place at the famous Bad Bonn Club in Düdingen (FR, Switzerland, www.badbonn.ch ). The same place were the band played their very first concert so many years ago. EMERALD have started the studio recordings for their 5th Album Re-Forged on May 17, 2010 at the Little Creek Studio in Switzerland (Producer is V.O. Pulver; ex-Poltergeist, Destruction, Gurd). Some new songtitles are "The Last Legion", "Witches Tower", "Secret Agenda", "The One", "Mark Of The Beast", "The Wanderer", "Mutiny". The band presents with this new album their new singer Thomas Winkler and the new guitar player Manuel Werro. Release of the new album is planned for late autumn/winter through Pure Steel Records.

The year 2009 is almost over. EMERALD have changed the line-up this year (new singer and new guitar player). With new motivation and inspiration, the band played some very successful concerts and received many fantastic reactions and great support. EMERALD would like to thank all fans for the high appreciated support during the year. The songwriting for the next album is finished, the band is preparing for the recordings at the moment. We are shocked that former CRIMSON GLORY singer MIDNIGHT has died last week at the age of 47. He was one of the best metal vocalists ever and the first two CRIMSON GLORY records are real metal classics and an influence to EMERALD's sound. We made our tribute to CRIMSON GLORY by covering the song "Azrael" on our latest album "Hymns to Steel". We would like to dedicate our song to Midnight - ; You and your music will always stay in our hearts.

During the last months, EMERALD recorded a new demo for their record company PURE STEEL RECORDS. During the recordings, musical differences with the singer/guitarist Jvo Julmy appeared. After many conversations, both parties have decided to go separate ways from now on. Emerald would like to thank Jvo for everything he did for the band during all the past years. We had a great time together and to say it in an old song title "We will remember" ! The band wishes Jvo all the very best for the future !
Now we are very happy to present you the new EMERALD members:
On second rhythm and lead guitar, Manuel Werro joined the band. He is from Düdingen (FR, Switzerland) and a longtime friend of the band. He played before in the bands Shroudshifter and Fatherfuckers (coverband, see http://www.myspace.com/thefatherfuckers ).
On vocals, Thomas Winkler joined the band. He is from Zollikofen (BE, Switzerland) and involved already in the bands/projects Nieverlore and T-Rage (see http://www.nieverlore.ch/ )
We are very happy that we found so quickly new motivated members for the band. A heavy welcome dudes !!!

OMEN CONCERT CANCELLED !!!
The concert with OMEN at the Rock City in Uster on October 2, 2008 has been cancelled ! We are very sad to announce that OMEN will not come to Switzerland next week. Due to the hurricane that hit Texas 2 weeks ago, the band lost a lot of money that was supposed to cover the expenses for this European tour/concerts. So unfortunatly, the concert in Switzerland is cancelled. Please take note. Thank you for comprehension.

EMERALD recorded the song "Burning The Witches" for an upcoming WARLOCK Tribute album !! The recordings were done at the Farpoint Studio in Switzerland together with our longtime engineer and friend Alain Stucki. WARLOCK was a big influence and fave band back in the 80ies for several EMERALD members. It's a big honour for EMERALD to take part at this Tribute album ! Finally the new EMERALD album "Hymns To Steel" has been released !! We received already a lot of reviews for the new album. Most of them are just amazing which makes us very happy. Also in the big German magazines Rock Hard and Heavy, we received fantastic reviews (Heavy Magazine 11 out of 12 Points !). Emerald would like to thank all the Zines and Mags for the fantastic support. We put the reviews into our Reviews section together with links to each review.
The Release Party for "Hymns To Steel" will be held traditionally at the Bad Bonn Club in Düdingen (Switzerland, Homepage: club.badbonn.ch ) on November 24, 2007. We have sad news and good news. Emerald member Andreas Bächler (drums) has decided to leave the band ! He would like to set new priorities in his life and turn to other interests. There are no hard feelings between Andreas and the rest of the band, there is still a deep friendship. He recorded the drums for the new album "Hymns to Steel" (release is planned for September) and will play a last concert with Emerald in autumn after the release of the new album (at the release party). Emerald would like to thank Andy for his fantastic drumming, for his tireless efforts for Emerald and for the precious friendship. We will miss you brother !
The good news is that we can already announce the replacement for Andreas (we know about his decision already since January). The new man on drums is a very known one from the Emerald crew: Alex Spicher ! He drew already the artwork to the debut album "Rebels of our Time" and designed the Emerald Logo, a long-standing friend of the band. He takes immediately the place behind the drums. Welcome on board Al !!
The first concert in the new line-up will be held on May 29, 2007 as support for Sabaton on their European tour in Uster, Switzerland. Details are under www.rock-city.ch and www.sabaton.net . Be there and welcome Al on stage !!

Due to a bad infection, Emerald singer Jvo could not record his vocals during the recording sessions in Aue (Germany). Besides the vocals, Emerald finished the recordings for the new album "Hymns To Steel". The vocals will be recorded within the next weeks at Farpoint Studio, Switzerland. The release of the new album has been postponed to August/September 2007.
Some good news: a new concert has been confirmed. Emerald will support Sabaton and Thunderbolt on their European Tour for the concert in Switzerland at the Rock City, Uster. Be there on May 29, 2007 ! Details are under www.rock-city.ch and www.sabaton.net
Emerald are part of the upcoming MANILLA ROAD TRIBUTE ALBUM !! Solemnity Music in Germany will release the first official TRIBUTE TO MANILLA ROAD named "The Riddle Masters " on Double-CD !! Release date will be April 14, 2007 (Keep It True Festival). EMERALD recorded exclusive for this great tribute album the MANILLA ROAD Track "Divine Victim " from the 1986 album "The Deluge ". Emerald have signed a new record deal !! After releasing two albums through Shark Records, Emerald are proud to announce the cooperation with PURE STEEL RECORDS from Germany ( www.puresteel-records.com ) for their next albums. The band and the record company are both very motivated and happy about this new partnership.

As our last (in the meantime sold out) CDs are still very high demanded, Shark Records repressed "Calling the Knights" and "Forces of Doom" on CD. These two EMERALD albums are now again available in the shops, mailorders or directly at the band's address.
The band is rehearsing now for the new album together with Adriano Troiano. Here is a statement from Adriano about his return to the band:
"I'm happy to announce my return to my former band "Emerald" as a full time member. I had the wish to rejoin the band for a few years and surprisingly it did work out now. Me and the guys remained very close friends over the years and continued to work together on several occasions. I am very proud of what they achieved and glad to have contributed to their success. We certainly enjoy the time together now, and I'm looking forward to perform and record with the guys."

A replacement for the vacant Bass-Position has been found: Adriano Troiano is back ! As replacement for Stephan Kaufmann, EMERALD and former bass player Adriano Troiano reunited. Adriano was already in the band during the first EMERALD years and left before the release of the "Calling The Knights" album. After releasing two albums with his own band DISTANT PAST, he is now back in the band. Welcome back dude !!
The concert on May 5, 2006 in St. Silvester was a very huge success for EMERALD. Biggest thanks to all the fans that supported EMERALD so strong on this glory evening.
Solemnity Music Germany released finally the first official TRIBUTE TO CIRITH UNGOL album named "One Foot In Fire" (on regular CD and a special limited 12" Picture Vinyl edition). Due to personal differences Emerald and bass player Stephan Kaufmann decided to part ways. A replacement will be announced as soon as possible. We wish him all the best for his future and thank him for his efforts for Emerald.
EMERALD celebrate this year 10 years of existance !! On October 14, 2006, there will be a very special concert to celebrate this anniversary. The concert will take place at the famous Bad Bonn Club in Düdingen (FR, Switzerland, www.badbonn.ch ). The same place were the band played their very first concert so many years ago. As support, EMERALD invited their friends and metalbrothers from Germany, CASTLE WELL ( www.castlewell.de ) and CHIMAERA ( www.chimaera.de ). Watch out for this great and very special event !
Emerald play their next concert on May 5, 2006. It will be the farewell concert for Stephan. See you there !!
