Global responsibility – local acting
International congress and exhibition
The European Facility Management Conference (EFMC) will take place in Copenhagen from May 23rd – 25th, 2012. Themed “Global responsibility – local acting“, the international congress and exhibition will present the latest findings in Facility Management.
IFMA’s and EuroFM’s Conference and Exhibition
The EFMC, one of Europe’s leading Facility Management events, is put on by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the European Facility Management Network (EuroFM). This year’s conference will focus on a wider concept, uniting a Business Conference as well as a Research Symposium and thus covering both practical FM aspects as well as scientific approaches. Round tables and speakers’ corners, offering renowned experts and international opinion leaders in FM an exchange and networking platform, round off the event. Energy efficiency, sustainability, Triple Bottom Line (people, planet, profit) or Corporate Social Responsibility and European FM standards are among the many economic and scientific topics to be discussed during the conference.
Life-cycle costs – an indicator for economic sustainability
Together with Cathrine Pauli, president of IFMA Switzerland, René Sigg, managing partner at Intep, will give a lecture entitled "An integrated Model for Life-Cycle Cost Analysis". IFMA Switzerland has developed a life-cycle costing model for properties that identifies cost-optimized solutions for construction projects, taking into account the property’s entire life-cycle. The presentation will include practical examples as well as a detailed description of the Excel-based life-cycle cost calculation tool. It will also highlight how life-cycle cost analyses can contribute to economic sustainability.
