The Swedwood facility in Slovakia Swedwood Majcichov exclusively splices veneers for the furniture industry. Swedwood Majcichov has been glue spliceing larger veneer faces since start of the production in 2006 with several crossfeed splicers form Fisher+Rückle, type CROSSMASTER. Smaller furniture parts were/are still stitched with Zig-Zag glue thread machines. In order to meet the demanding quality standards of IKEA, Swedwood Majcichov needed to change over their production from glue thread stitching to the high quality glue splicing step by step.
